IAVs is very flexible in terms of the equipment that can be used to build it.  In its simplest iteration, it’s a couple of holes in the ground, an impervious liner, a pump and a timer.  At the other end of the spectrum, plastic/fibreglass fish tanks, fabricated grow beds, climate-controlled greenhouses and all manner of other high tech bits ‘n’ pieces can be used.
